Vox Pop pdx in “the couve” Tomorrow at Noon.
Vox Pop pdx in “the couve”.
Our radio adventure guide is native Washingtonian artist Colleen Lindsay. We go in search of unknown and unpublished art and poetry in Vancouver, Washington. We also attend the unveiling of The Brautigan Library.
Inspired by a fictional library described by Richard Brautigan in his 1971 novel, The Abortion: An Historical Romance 1966, The Brautigan Library provides writers a public shelf for their unpublished manuscripts, free of restrictions on content or quality.
Do you get the idea?
Share your favorite Brautigan verse or passage or maybe one of your own unpublished poems or passages. You can post on the Vox Pop pdx FB fan page or submit your entry to this blog.
The Brautigan Library is a permanent, interactive exhibit at the Clark County Historical Museum, in Vancouver, Washington. Future plans call for reopening the Library for digital submissions from authors keen to share their narratives.
I will post more info and links tomorrow after the broadcast.
Listen Wednesday at noon (PST) on Radio23’s Cascade Community Radio http://radio23.org/ccr/
